Why Use
Handtied Flies?

Our Materials
All of our flies are tied with the finest materials, feathers and hooks. We don’t take short cuts or use cheap materials in the tying of our flies. This ensures a more durable, highly visible and a higher floating fly.
- Hooks:
We use only top quality hooks in the manufacturing of our flies. The quality of the hooks affect how sharp they are, and how easily they break. Different styles of flies require unique styles of hooks. We have the expertise to produce the flies which add these elements together- creating the finest flies on the market.
- Dubbing:
Our synthetic and natural hair blend dyes are made with top quality dyed colors. This is important to ensure your flies imitate the actual living flies. Our synthetic blends do not absorb water, helping with longer lasting flotation. Natural hair dubbing allows the nymph to absorb water to help facilitate sinking to the bottom depths where the fish are feeding on these types of insects.
- Hackle:
Dry fly hackle is a no webbing feather using assorted colors. This stiff hackle helps it to sit on the water better. Wet fly hackle uses a lot of webbing in the feather, which produces a softer hackle. The softer hackle enables the nymph to more effectively sink to the areas where the fish are feeding.
